On May 11th, Le Thanh Liem, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee worked with Mr Carel Richter - Dutch Consul General and experts, companies in the field of water management.
At the meeting, Le Thanh Liem appreciated the effective support of the Netherlands, especially the General Consulate of the Netherlands in the city in recent time has helped HCMC in the field of responding to climate change, management, water treatment and flood protection as these are important areas and become more and more urgent for the sustainable development of TP in the future.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Le Thanh Liem, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee with Mr. Carel Richter - Dutch Consul General and a team of experts in the field of water management.
At present, the problem of flood control and water management is becoming a challenge to build and develop a sustainable city. Therefore, Liem wishes in the future, the Netherlands will have the support of TP in responding to this problem.
Representatives of experts said that the Netherlands has many solutions to implement effective water management and flood control. Modern technology companies put these solutions into practice. Dutch businesses also pledged to promote public-private partnership with the City to prevent waterlogging in order to build sustainable development.
